A Help Community? Why?
We have a comprehensive knowledge base of help articles available at help.yahoo.com and our customer support teams answer questions through various channels, including social media. However, we realize that we also have a vast community of knowledgeable users who are always willing to help others. You can now tap into our new community platform to get the answers you need, quickly and easily, from Yahoo users who are product experts, people who may have experienced similar issues in the past, and the Yahoo Customer Care team.
Ah, what about Yahoo Answers?
In the past, we used Yahoo Answers question and answer format as a way to respond user inquiries.
However, we have found that a discussion layout is a more helpful and efficient approach that does a better job of giving our our users the answers they are looking for. So, we are transitioning away from Yahoo Answers to our new custom-built community platform, which is designed to help people clearly explain their issues and get solutions quickly.
Ok, makes sense. How do I sign up?
Accessing the new community is easy. Just sign in using your Yahoo ID, create a profile and start asking questions, sharing knowledge and adding your voice to the conversation around Yahoo products.
So, I’ve signed up. What’s next?
As with any community, the more members that participate positively, the more they will be rewarded. You’ll build your profile and grow your reputation every time you ask, answer, comment or thank your fellow community members, unlock new features, ranks, badges, rewards and lots of other good stuff. Just be sure to read and follow our common sense Community Guidelines. Some people don’t. Don’t be that guy.
